Fire-extinguishing aerosol generators

Generators are to be installed directly in protected spaces and provide for the delivery of the aerosol produced from a solid charge. The fire-extinguishing aerosol enters the protected space where it is distributed over its volume and stops the combustion of liquids and other materials including that of live electrical equipment. The generator is started by an electrical pulse sent by the CAP of the aerosol fire-extinguishing system to the initiator unit. Aerosol fire-extinguishing systems use such fire-extinguishing aerosol generators as SOT-1M, SOT-2M, SOT-2M-KV, and AGS-5M.

The SOT-1M fire-extinguishing aerosol generator. The SOT-1M fire-extinguishing aerosol generator is intended for containing and extinguishing fires involving highly-flammable and flammable liquids, solid flammable materials and electric equipment including live equipment under the voltage of up to 40 kV in closed spaces without explosion hazard.

The SOT-2M-KV fire-extinguishing aerosol generator. The SOT-2M-KV fire-extinguishing aerosol generator is intended for containing and extinguishing fires involving highly-flammable and flammable liquids, solid flammable materials and electric equipment including live equipment under the voltage of up to 40 kV in B-1a class explosion hazard zones.
