The AGS-5M fire-extinguishing aerosol generator.
The AGS-5M fire-extinguishing aerosol generators for operational application are intended for containing and extinguishing fires involving highly-flammable and flammable liquids, solid flammable materials and electric equipment including live equipment under the voltage of up to 40 kV in closed spaces without explosion hazard:
- • with the volume of up to 200 m3 for vessels of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping classes;
- • with the volume of up to 100 m3 for vessels of the Russian River Register classes.
Among the vessels registered in the Russian River Register, AGS-5M fire-extinguishing aerosol generators cannot be used on board of passenger vessels, oil-carrying vessels and oil-carrying vessels’ tenders.
The AGS-5M generators produce a radial aerosol discharge from the openings.
The AGS-5M generators are certified by the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping and the Russian River Register.
At the moment over 350 vessels have already been equipped with AGS-5M fire-extinguishing aerosol generators.
